Experience the thrill usually reserved for professional drivers alone right here on Taupo Raceway. Take the wheel of a formula one style racecar and push yourself to the limit with this ultimate driving experience.
This course is tailored to suit the complete novice who wants to sample a taste of what it is like to drive a Formula One style single seater race car. You will take the wheel around Taupo Raceway with no instructor, no pace car. Just you, the car and the track . . . can you handle it?
Start the experience with a familiarisation lap in a V8 racecar driven by one of our professional drivers, as you learn the corners and lines of the track. You are also welcome to bring along one other person of your choice for this lap to get your friend or family member more involved in the experience. After we strap you in to a formula style single seater and the real racing begins.
Driving a single seater is an unforgettable experience, totally different from any road car in every way. The cars are very easy to drive with their paddle gear change on the steering wheel however they will test your skill to get the ultimate lap time.
Package includes:
- Overalls, helmet and boots (if required).
- Drivers Briefing/Tuition.
- 1 session in a Formula Challenge single seater racing car.
- De-brief and PI data analysis.
- Certificate Presentation with PI analysis.
